Aiu is a farm dedicated to olive cultivation, located in the rural area of Aiuruoca, in Southern Minas Gerais, Brazil, and nestled within the Serra do Papagaio State Park. The farm stands out for producing high-quality olive and avocado oils, cultivated using sustainable practices.
Founded with the vision of providing natural products that nourish both the body and the environment, Aiu was created to connect people with the purity of ingredients and the richness of the surrounding nature. A few years after its founding, one of the partners, the renowned architect Ivo Szterling, passionate about consumer experience, decided to expand this connection. He envisioned and constructed luxurious chalets on the farm, offering a welcoming space for visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the location while enjoying a unique experience with Aiu’s products.
The Aiu logo is an artistic representation of the iconic Pico do Papagaio, a famous tourist spot in the region, symbolizing the local beauty alongside an olive tree, the foundation of everything the brand does.
To consolidate Aiu's identity, a branding strategy was crafted to reflect its core values: excellence, sustainability, and well-being. The brand’s visual design evokes calm and elegance, using a color palette inspired by nature and the purity of its products. The chosen typography conveys sophistication, while graphic elements inspired by the local flora reinforce a connection to the environment.
Additionally, the project involved designing packaging labels for Aiu’s olive and avocado oils, as well as for its jams, alongside signage for the chalets and promotional materials for social media. Each element reinforces the brand’s values and identity, applied with precision following the outlined strategic plan. These communication materials — including packaging and signage — were thoughtfully created to express the full experience Aiu offers, from olive oil tastings to stays in the luxurious chalets, where every detail was designed to ensure maximum comfort and well-being.
The outcome of this branding project is a cohesive and compelling identity that establishes Aiu as a leading brand in olive cultivation and luxury hospitality. The construction of the chalets, envisioned by Ivo Szterling, offers guests direct access to the oil production process, serving as a significant differentiator and drawing in visitors who seek an authentic and enriching experience.
Aiu’s dedication to excellence in oil production has been recognized in prestigious competitions, such as the Japan Olive Oil Prize 2024, the Carthage International Olive Oil Competition 2024, and the Olio Nuovo Days 2024 in France, where the Intense Blend and Monovarietal Koroneiki received multiple awards. These accolades are the result of meticulous work that starts in the olive groves with the careful hand-picking and selection of olives, followed by cold processing just hours after harvest to preserve the highest quality in every drop.
Today, Aiu stands out in the market, fostering a community of customers who value a healthy lifestyle and a deep appreciation for nature, solidifying its reputation as a unique and memorable retreat. Aiu extends its gratitude to everyone involved in its journey and invites all to follow along on social media.
